Interviewer: Today I'm interviewing Professor Koichi Hamada, Tuntex Emeritus Professor of Economics, Yale University, USA on his article in Project Syndicate of 6th of September 2023 titled: "Why a global recession is unlikely. " Professor Hamada, thank you for sparing the time for this interview. I'm adopting the persona of a willing-to-listen CEO of a big company with global footprints in both production and sales to a consumer market who accepts your conclusion and asks two questions. One, your article argues that we did not correctly understand the effect of the pandemic. What else might not have been properly understood that could affect your conclusion?
