Subscription access to HSTalks content is governed by the applicable licence granted when a subscription is taken out. Individuals, companies and other Institutions participating in a Free Trial are subject to the terms of HSTalks' standard licence agreement, available on request.

Persons granted complimentary access may view content solely for their own personal, non-commercial, educational or professional use. Access to HSTalks content is strictly on a limited license basis and does not transfer any ownership rights, title, or interest in the content to the user.

All videos, audio recordings, transcripts, articles, images, documents, data, metadata, underlying software, and other materials made available through HSTalks (the “Material”) are owned by, or licensed to, HSTalks (“HST”) and are protected by copyright, design, patent, trademark and other applicable intellectual property laws of England and Wales and international treaties.

By accessing the Material, users acknowledge HST’s exclusive ownership of the Material and agree that all copyright, trademark, database rights, and other intellectual property rights in the Material remain the exclusive property of HST and/or its licensors.

Except as expressly permitted by applicable law or by a written agreement with HST, users must not, nor permit a third party to:

• reproduce, copy, download, record (including via screen capture or stream-ripping), publish, broadcast, or distribute any Material;
• sell, licence, sublicense, rent, lease or otherwise commercially exploit any Material;
• share, transmit, make Material available to any third party, or exhibit the Material in public (unless permitted by an institutional licence agreement);
• create derivative works, adaptations, or translations based on the Material;
• remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark, digital rights management (DRM) mechanism, or proprietary notice;
• use the Material for training artificial intelligence, machine learning models, automated systems or data-mining activities;
• systematically extract, scrape, harvest or collect content, data or metadata from the HSTalks platform using any automated or manual means

Any unauthorised use, reproduction, distribution or commercial exploitation of the Material constitutes a material breach of these Terms and a direct infringement of HST’s intellectual property rights. Such actions will result in immediate termination of access without liability to HST, and HST reserves the right to pursue legal and equitable remedies, including seeking injunctive relief and claiming damages.
