Interviewer: Today I am interviewing Dr. Mark Esposito about his views set out in the 14th of April 2021 article in Project Syndicate. It is assumed that listeners will have read the article. You wrote, "We are facing an acute crisis of technological opportunity and access, owing to an invasive business model that has proven incapable of supporting equity and inclusion. The stakes are high, and the market won't fix the problem." You proposed technological diffusion, multi-stakeholder innovation and digital protectionism as at least a partial solution.
