Biography
In 2006, Deborah Perry Piscione made one of the most unlikely career pivots—leaving the corridors of power in Washington, DC for the dynamic garage culture of Silicon Valley.
After nearly two decades in foreign policy on Capitol Hill and serving as a political appointee in the White House under President George H.W. Bush, as well as an on-air commentator for CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News, she gained a profound understanding of how Washington operated: hierarchy, partisan division, and the weaponization of fear. In contrast, Silicon Valley thrived on a completely different operating system—one centered on collaboration, abundance, and the radical belief that a stranger’s success was something to celebrate, not defeat.
Deborah set out to explore the dynamics and history that made Silicon Valley a hub of innovation. This research culminated in her New York Times bestselling book, Secrets of Silicon Valley.
Since then, Deborah has established herself as a thought leader and futurist in the business world, building a diverse body of work that spans multiple industries and disciplines.
