Interviewer: Professor Liu, thank you for taking the time today to discuss this diagnostic test for COVID-19 being developed by yourself and your team. Could you give an overview of the technology used in this test? Dr. Liu: Okay. So, recently our lab has developed an All-In-One Dual CRISPR-Cas12a technology (we also call it "AIOD-CRISPR" diagnostic system). This diagnostic system has been used for rapid, sensitive, and specific detection of novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of the COVID-19 disease. In our AIOD-CRISPR diagnostic system, we have proposed a dual CRISPR detection strategy by introducing two guide RNAs. In addition, we combine the recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA isothermal amplification) with CRISPR based detection and develop an All-In-One CRISPR-based diagnostic system. In our AIOD-CRISPR diagnostic system, all reagents for reverse transcription,
