Summary
The scope of this series encompasses the regulation of transcription by chromatin and RNA polymerase II, which are the key controlling factors in development, and their misregulation results in the pathogenesis of a number of human diseases including cancer. Several factors including the transcriptional initiation and elongation machineries, chromatin remodeling... read morecomplexes, and chromatin modifiers have been shown to be central in the regulation of gene expression.
The series will include lectures from the leaders in the field of transcription biology, chromatin biochemistry and genetics and developmental biology. The series will discuss how modifications of chromatin and transcription factors could serve in the regulation of epigenetics and disease pathogenesis.
