Hello, my name is Zoe Diana Draelos. I'm very pleased to have this time to spend with you to present some ideas about the medical relevance of skin care trends. Products become popular, they come and go, ideas become popular, they come and go. What's happening now? What is the dermatologist's perspective on skin care? I'm a board certified dermatologist, I have worked in the skin care industry for over 30 years, and I'm pleased to share with you my ideas.

I would like to state that I do not have any relevant conflicts of interest, however, there are many opinions on current skin care trends and also on nutrition, and I'm going to cover a little of each. There are no large placebo-controlled studies that conclusively have determined the value of these trending treatments and of the nutritional ideas that I'm going to present.

Let's look at some of the skin trends that are currently popular, especially on TikTok and other forms of social media. We're going to talk a little bit about skin slugging/flooding, cycling, dopamine beauty, retinol sandwiching, IV drips for skin, red light masks, and baby Botox,

but we also want to talk a little bit about nutrition. How does a vegan diet affect the skin? What vitamins do you need for healthy skin?
