Hello. I am Dr. Sivakumar,
working as the
Associate Professor at
College of Pharmacy and
Health Research Center
at Jazan University,
Saudi Arabia.
It gives me great pleasure to
discuss some topic like
mucosal vaccine adjuvants.

Mucosal vaccine adjuvants or
vaccines are considered as
the most successful
medical invention
against various
infectious disease.
Absolutely, the vaccines are
the most successful
prophylactic measure.
Now the vaccines
are transforming
towards the therapeutic measure.
It's the most successful
medical treatment.
Always, prevention
is better than cure.
The strategy of World Health
Organization is to develop
efficient and
inexpensive vaccine
against various
infectious disease.
Obviously, because the
cost of vaccination is
very high and immunization
program is also very high,
it should not be burden to
a country to maintain
the cost of vaccination,
and it should not be
burden to the public also.
Since the vaccination cost,
that means immunization cost,
is very effective and very high,
it is necessary to develop
inexpensive vaccine and
effective vaccines also.
Vaccine development and
immunization program constitute
a critical component of
public health policy
in any nation.

Therefore, the decision to
introduce a new vaccine into
Expanded Program on Immunization
is greatly influenced
by various factors.
To introduce a new vaccine
into our vaccination
schedule of any country,
it gives various factors.
Recently, we all experienced
with the COVID-19
how very fastly they developed,
and they were
introducing the vaccine
into the program to save us.
These are the factors. What are
the factors involved here?
Bio-burden,
epidemiological aspect
with respect to transmission,
vaccine factors that
includes safety.
Safety is very important.
Efficacy: efficacy is safety
vaccine can be developed.
Efficacy is another question.
Efficacy should be there,
and availability for
all set of people.
Financial implications,
projected benefits in
terms of morbidity,
mortality, and
cost-effectiveness.
It should be safety enough,
it should be efficacy enough,
it should be available enough,
and it should be cost-effective
and should not be more
costly for common people or
society to afford the vaccines.
The key elements for
