Now let's get to it. Let's examine the challenges of building technical solutions and why we need to talk about responsible technology at all. Technology evolves exponentially and challenges us to face not only technical problems, but also ethical and moral issues regarding privacy, human rights, and environment. Legislation and regulation are behind and cannot always provide answers to real-time problems. This gap puts a lot of additional responsibility on software engineers and middle and senior management. It also creates ethical challenges and the demand for provision of more available, accessible and safe products and services to customers. The importance of soft skills has become evidently necessary for engineering responsible technology and making ethical and moral decisions.
