My name is Dr.
Dimitrios Salampasis.
I am the Director
for the Master of
Financial Technologies
and Lecturer of
FinTech Innovation and
Entrepreneurship at the
Swinburne University of Technology
in Melbourne, Australia.
This lecture focuses on the jobs
of the future the
changing nature,
organization and
delivery of work
and we're going to explore
the case of FinTech.

In the nature of work,
we observe numerous
changing patterns,
starting from digitalization,
automation, and
hyper-connectivity.
This of course, is also linked
to the technological
advancements,
primarily in light of
artificial intelligence,
blockchain technology,
Internet of things,
and quantum computing.
Furthermore, we observe
changing forms of employment,
particularly during
the COVID-19 pandemic,
where people worked off-site
and worked remotely.
Moreover, we also
observed changing
career models and patterns
where we see people
wanting more freedom,
people wanting less control.
At the same time, we see
changing organizational
structures of
companies moving even
directly and fully online.
Or even companies operating
through decentralized
architectural designs,
such as Decentralized
Autonomous Organization.
Finally, we see technology
creating new skills
and opportunities that
didn't even exist before.

This visual captures the
new concept of jobs.
It encapsulates and
highlights a shift
from traditional work and
employment towards flexible,
decentralized and
knowledge-based patterns.
This particular shift, the
movement of work patterns,
enables and embeds socio-emotional
changes and digital challenges.
The flexible, decentralized
knowledge base
patterns are branched into
three key components.
Self-fulfillment,
entrepreneurial and
intrapreneurial aptitude,
and self-control.
