from the Graduate School of Business Leadership in South Africa,
in addition to graduating with distinction from the Army Command and staff college.
Furthermore, I'm currently part of the part time faculty of Monash in South Africa,

and the Southern Institute of Technology in
New Zealand in the fields of Strategic Management,

I'd like to talk to you about decision-making in particular,
the impact of intuitive intelligence on decision-making.
The approach that I will be following is to share
real life stories of how intuitive intelligence has helped me resolve problems,
overcome challenges, and discovered new approaches in my professional life.

Let me explain intuitive intelligence with the following analogy.
How many times do we see a business leader make a decision without a lot of data,
seemingly without deliberation, and make the right call?
Not very often in the Western commercial world.
But every so often,
we encounter that rare leader who makes impossible decisions,
and time, and again gets it right.
This is not an accident.
We tell ourselves as we look for clues to
try to understand this phenomena we are witnessing.
What we are experiencing is intuitive intelligence in action.
Perhaps a more balanced perspective from Turan,
who simply describes intuitive intelligence "as knowing something,
or deciding to do something without having a logical explanation,
leading to a balancing act between logic reasoning and feeling the heart."
As we are sharing realized stories,
