Summary

Logistics Management deals with the timely movement of people and tangible items across the physical world as well as intangible items through cyberspace. Whether motivated by profit or by security, organizations throughout the world facilitate these movements by linking together to form supply chains. The talks in this series examine... read morethese linkages in terms of their complexity, flexibility, and fragility. Movement along supply chains is examined in terms of how technology is deployed and in terms of how constraints, both physical and man-made, can frustrate this process. Topics such as international trade, customer service, climate change, and financial control are used to demonstrate the art and the science of logistics and supply chain management.
