Interviewer: Today, I'm interviewing Professor Karim Lakhani, Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, USA. On his article written with joint authors Bobby Yerramilli-Rao, John Corwin, and Yang Li in the March-April 2025 edition of Harvard Business Review titled "Strategy in an Era of Abundant Expertise, How to Thrive When AI Makes Knowledge and Know How Cheaper and Easier to Access". Professor Lakhani is the Dorothy and Michael Hintze Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. He's also founder and co-director of the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard. A link to Professor Lakhani's biography and a listing of his published work accompanies this interview. Professor Lakhani, thank you for sparing the time. Before we get into intra-company human barriers to adoption, may I start by asking about an aspect of AI that is not explored in your article, the supply side availability. Is it correct that you assume AI will be universally accessible? However, could not barriers to access emerge price, technology, government intervention, and so on might securing access be even more important than skill in utilization. Prof. Lakhani: Thank you Neil. It's a pleasure
