Biography

Michael Buszczak earned his BS in biology from Tufts University in 1994. He then worked as a technician at Harvard University for two years before going on to graduate school where he earned his doctorate from Yale University in 2002. Dr. Buszczak went on to train as a postdoctoral fellow... read moreat the Carnegie Institute. He joined the faculty in the Department of Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2007. He is now the E. E. and Greer Garson Fogelson Scholar in Medical Research. His research interests focus on germ cells, iPS cells, mRNA translation, ribosomes and stem cells.
