Through an outline of our talk today, first, we will be talking about pervasive sensing, what it is, and its application. Then we will talk about how we use pervasive sensing in our physical activity and sleep monitoring studies in hemodialysis patients. Then finally, we will talk about how the parameters that can be collected by pervasive sensing can be fed into precision medicine.

What is pervasive sensing? Well, it's sensing that can take place anytime and anywhere. This sensing is done by a miniaturized sensor network that can be either worn on the body or integrated into the living environment. Most importantly, this sensor of networks should not affect a person's daily routine.
