Hello, my name is Ali Amrollahi
and I'm a Researcher at
Macquarie Business School
in Sydney, Australia.
The topic I'm talking
about today is
"The Strategic Impact of Disruptive
Innovation on Modern Organisations".
In this short talk,
I will look at one of
the current and evolving
topics in management,
marketing, leadership, and
Information Systems Research,
which is disruptive innovation.
But I will look at that from
the perspective of strategy.
Therefore, in this talk,
we will focus on how
disruptive innovation and
potentially disruptive
technologies
can be implemented strategically
to enable organizations
leadership.
This topic should be beneficial
for researchers
interested in pursuing
a strategic applications
of information systems and
managers interested in using
new technologies to
lead their firms.

This is the agenda
for my talk today,
I will start with
an introduction to the
concept of disruption,
disruptive innovation, and
disruptive technologies
and then I will extend
this to the new idea
of disruptive
strategy innovation.
Then I will look at some of
the potential impacts of
disruptive innovation and
disruptive strategic innovation.
I will introduce
these impacts from
different perspectives.
In particular, we will look at
the governance of disruptive
strategic innovation in
an organization
and its impact on
the organizational roles and
the stakeholders we have
in an organization.
I will also briefly explain
some challenges of
disruptive technologies,
including their adoption,
their impact on the
future of work,
and some of the
social-technical difficulties
related to the usage of
these technologies on
a strategic level.
The talk will end
with a number of
real-world cases using which
we will conclude the topic.
