Just to set the scene here a little bit, outsourcing is of course a lot of things, but with my background, I will be focusing on IT outsourcing and on the things that you will find and you'll have to do after the contracting phase.

So just a little bit about myself. I have just over 20 years of consulting experience mainly from large American consulting companies. My focus today is on driving change and standardization and cloud adoption, and for the past 10 years, I have been mainly working in the life sciences industry in pharmaceuticals. My work goes back to the '90s where I've been focusing on infrastructure technologies, predominantly, Microsoft products. In my personal life, I enjoy very much motorcycles and especially MotorGP, and also touring with my wife on the long distance trips. In addition to that, I love music and when time permits, I'd like to go mountain biking or spinning together with other people.

Just to put some structure to this talk, let's go through the different sections here. In just a minute, we will be setting the scene, just to make sure that we have a common background for the next half hour or so we will introduce the concepts and setting the context. So the next thing is to really understand what it is that you're supposed to manage when you're going into an outsourcing engagement, so it's about prerequisites and things that you should be mindful about. Next, when you have things sorted out, you know what to do or what you are going to manage, we will mobilize the entire engagement. After that, it's about executing and managing the outsourcing engagement until we hit the finish line and about to wrap- up and close the engagement. Finally, I will just recap what I believe are the five most important things that you should take away from this talk.
