Glenn Telling is a Professor at the University of Kentucky. He received his undergraduate training at Oxford University and his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University. After studying prion biology with Nobel Laureate Stanley Prusiner, he joined the MRC Prion Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital, London in 1997 and moved to... read morethe Sanders Brown Center on Aging at the University of Kentucky in 1999. His major research interests are to determine the molecular events underlying prion propagation, species barriers and strains using molecular biological, biochemical, transgenic and cell biological approaches. A significant portion of his current effort is focused on perhaps the most enigmatic prion disorder, chronic wasting disease (CWD) of deer and elk.
