Biography

David Conti is Professor in the Division of Biostatistics, Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Southern California and Co-Leader of the Cancer Epidemiology Program at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. After receiving his B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems at Stanford University, he was trained in Genetic Epidemiology... read moreat Case Western Reserve University and was awarded the Roger Williams award from the International Genetic Epidemiology Society (IGES). Driven by the ever-expanding technological and computational advances in genome sciences, his methodological research focuses on Bayesian hierarchical modeling and Bayesian model selection. This work relies heavily upon active collaborations examining the genetic contribution to colon and prostate cancer, asthma, lymphoma, and psychiatric disorders.
