During her postdoctoral work, Elena Pasquale identified what at the time were novel receptor tyrosine kinases expressed in embryonic tissues, including FGF receptors and Eph receptors. Her current research interests are in elucidating the functions of Eph receptors and ephrins in the nervous system and in cancer pathogenesis using proteomic, biochemical, and cell biological approaches in conjunction with animal models.
