Dr. Suma Uday graduated from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India in 2004. She then moved to the UK where she completed her specialist training in paediatrics and higher specialist training in endocrinology. She is a practising consultant in paediatric endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic bone disease at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Birmingham, UK. She also holds an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor post at the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, UK. Her key research interest includes nutritional and non-nutritional forms of rickets and osteomalacia. Her other clinical and research interests include rare bone disorders, type 2 diabetes, obesity and health inequalities in diabetes care and outcomes in children.
