Biography

Diana Lockwood graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1981. She trained in General medicine and specialised in infectious diseases and tropical medicine. She was awarded MD at Birmingham in 1995. She worked at The Hospital for Tropical Diseases, London and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine as... read morea clinical professor. She has been on WHO leprosy advisory panels. She ran a global leprosy research programme focusing on understanding the pathogenesis of reactions and improving treatment for reactions. She has worked on leprosy in India and Ethiopia. She is now working on reducing the stigma associated with leprosy.
