Mr Dale Vimalachandran has been a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at the Countess of Chester Hospital since 2010. He trained at Liverpool university medical school and began his surgical training in the North West of England in 2000. He has been extensively trained in all aspects of general and... read morecolorectal surgery and completed his surgical training with specialist fellowships in South Africa for trauma surgery and the Cleveland Clinic, USA, for sub-specialist colorectal training. In addition, he received training in pelvic floor disorders in Manchester and gynaecological oncology at Liverpool Women’s hospital. During his training he completed an MD thesis in the molecular biology of cancer, and still retain an active interest in surgical research with close links to the University of Liverpool. He has a particular interest in surgical training, and regularly teaches on all aspects of surgical disease at all levels of training. His expertise is within all aspects of gastrointestinal disease, but in particular, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, incontinence and benign proctology.
