Biography

Ryan J. Mailloux obtained his BSc and PhD from Laurentian University in Ontario, Canada. Following his PhD, he conducted his postdoctoral work in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa from 2008-2013. After this, he did a second postdoc with Carleton University and the University of Ottawa, studying the impact of environmental toxins on redox signals and metabolism. In 2015, he joined the Department of Biochemistry at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Since his hire, he has published 10 articles on the topics of mitochondrial ROS production and redox signaling and has to date published over 60 articles on the topics of mitochondrial metabolism and bioenergetics, ROS production and antioxidant defense, redox signaling, and toxicology.
