Biography

Andrew G. Clark is a population geneticist who has published more than 350 papers in the fields of human and Drosophila evolutionary genetics. He received his undergraduate training at Brown University, his PhD at Stanford, and did postdoctoral work in Denmark. He is co-author with Dan Hartl of Principles of... read morePopulation Genetics, a widely used textbook. He was part of the human genome sequencing team at Celera, and was active in the HapMap and 1000 Genomes projects. He was admitted to the National Academy of Science in part for his work on haplotype inference.
