Peter Openshaw studied medicine at Guy’s Hospital, trained in respiratory physiology and did postgraduate medicine at the Brompton and Hammersmith before a PhD in viral immunology. He is now Professor of Experimental Medicine at Imperial College and the President of the British Society for Immunology.
