Biography

Chuan He is a Professor in the Chemistry Department at the University of Chicago. He received his B.S. (1994) from the University of Science and Technology of China, and his Ph.D. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000. After being trained as a Damon-Runyon postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University... read morefrom 2000-2002, he joined the University of Chicago as an assistant professor and was promoted to full professor in 2010. Chuan's research interest covers the areas of virulence and antibiotic resistance regulation in human pathogens, nucleic acid modification and de-modification, and selective metal ion recognition and sensing in biology.
