Biography

Craig Roy is an Associate Professor of Microbial Pathogenesis in the Microbiology Department at Yale University. He received his PhD from Stanford University in 1991. The focus of his research is to understand the molecular and cellular events that enable microbial pathogens to evade host defense mechanisms. In particular, he... read moreis interested in how bacteria that replicate inside mammalian cells modulate vesicular transport following uptake. To study this process, his lab has been using the bacteria Legionella pneumophila and Coxiella burnetii as model pathogens.
