Real-world data for public health: Lessons in data quality, transparency and trust

Tuesday September 23, 2025
9:00 AM PDT / 12:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM BST / 6:00 PM CEST

This webinar will start with a brief background to how real-world data (RWD), primarily routinely collected healthcare data, can be used for public health. It will then cover the key data quality dimensions that should be assessed for RWD to determine its suitability for public health research and transparency reporting recommendations. The concept of ‘trustworthy’ data will be explored.

Finally, Dr. Puja Myles will share a personal perspective on lessons learned in data quality, transparency and trust as the head of a real-world data research service, including how the responsibility for data quality assurance should be shared between data curators and researchers.
