Hello, everyone! My name is Susanne Durst. I'm a professor of management at Reykjavik University in Iceland, and I'm going to talk about the management of risk related to knowledge.

So, this also means that the agenda of this talk is about stressing the importance of managing risk related to knowledge for sustainable business development.

Let's get started, we know that knowledge is important, but we also know that knowledge is dynamic. This actually means that knowledge that is valuable today or was valuable yesterday may hold little value tomorrow. We also need to understand that knowledge is not automatically something of value or always significant or a strategic asset or an asset in general, but there are also incidents, there are also moments when knowledge can actually be considered as a liability or a negative risk. This duration, however, does not mean that we should simply forget or discard old and relevant knowledge. Instead, my proposal is to harbor knowledge at risk perspective, which actually means that we are trying to approach, we are trying to address from a neutral, from a balance point of view. So, there might be incidents where knowledge is actually something positive, but there are also moments where knowledge is a liability.
