Welcome to you and thank you for listening to this talk,
which is about the differences and the similarities between Scrum and Kanban.
These two frameworks and methods are the most widely used on the Agile stage these days,
but they are not similar at all.
Many find difficult to figure out how these methods differ and
that's a shame because you then risk to choose the wrong tool for the task.
After this talk, I'm sure that you'll be better equipped to help make
the choice that will fit best in a given situation or context.

Before we start, let me tell you a bit about who I am.
My name is Annette Vendelbo and had been working with IT projects for more than 30 years.
I was brought up with
a good old classic project management methods and
this was the way that I was managing my projects and my programs.
But 10 years ago,
I founded my own company,
Xvoto, and since then I've been focusing on Agile methods and frameworks.
For the past many years I've been working as
an Agile specialist and I help companies in all sizes and of
all types to plan their Agile transformations and choose
the method and the road that fits best in their context.
I'm a Scrum and Kanban trainer,
and I also coach teams so they can lift the Agile maturity step by step.
The reason why I love the agile way of working is
the transparency that it gives you and the simplicity.
It's fairly easy to get started,
but there are some pitfalls that you should
avoid if you want the improvements that you are seeking.
On the private side,
I guess I'm like everybody else.
I love being together with my family and I'm
absolutely crazy about that little lady in the picture,
my little granddaughter and whenever we have time,
my husband and I, we jump on our motorcycle and drive out into the blue.
It's very intense and it's very relaxing.
So that was a bit about me. Let's move on.
