1 TalkBiography
Graeme Birdsey attended Liverpool John Moores University and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Applied Biochemistry in 1994. He was awarded a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology at University College London in 1998. He is now Associate Professor in Vascular Science at the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI), Imperial College... read moreLondon, UK. He leads a programme of research centred around understanding the transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of endothelial cell gene expression during angiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis.
He has expertise in a range of cross-disciplinary skills that utilize in vitro molecular cell biology techniques, in vivo animal models, in silico modelling and bioinformatics. His work has been published in many high impact journals and has contributed extensively to our knowledge of the master transcription factor ERG and its role in angiogenesis/lymphangiogenesis and in maintaining endothelial lineage identity and homeostasis.
