Jeffrey Barrett has been involved in the analysis of some of the largest genome-wide association studies in the last two years, including the WTCCC and an international Crohn's disease meta-analysis which identified over 30 distinct associations. In 2005 he moved to Oxford, UK, where he received his PhD while working in Lon Cardon's lab. He recently moved to Cambridge where he is working in David Clayton's group on a genome-wide association study of over 8,000 type 1 diabetic patients.
