Biography

Neil Brockdorff was educated at the University of Sussex and University of Glasgow. During post-doctoral studies he developed an interest in the mammalian X chromosome and the mechanism of X chromosome inactivation. He established his own laboratory at the MRC Clinical Sciences Centre, London, in 1994, working principally on epigenetic... read moremechanisms in relation to X chromosome inactivation. In 2008 he was awarded a Wellcome Trust Principal Research Fellow in the Dept of Biochemistry, University of Oxford, where he has continued with his work on X inactivation.
