Dr. Kahan is a Principal Research Fellow at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL. His research program is focussed on developing methods to improve the design, analysis, and reporting of randomised trials. His major research interests include using estimands to improve the interpretability and validity of randomised trials, evaluating... read morestatistical methods for complex trial designs such as cluster, non-inferiority, factorial, and re-randomisation trials, and improving the reporting of randomised trials. His recent methods research includes development of the CONSORT-factorial extension, developing estimands and robust estimators for cluster randomised trials, and evaluating and comparing estimation methods for different intercurrent event strategies.
