Henry J. Kaminski, MD serves as the Meta A. Neumann Professor of Neurology at the George Washington University. Dr. Kaminski has performed clinical, translational, and basic investigations related to myasthenia gravis for 30 years. His investigations have defined complement mechanisms in the pathophysiology of myasthenia gravis and now is working to develop therapeutics based on inhibition of anti-apoptotic protein survivin and objective quantitation of the neuromuscular exam using artificial intelligence. In 2019, Dr. Kaminski established as principal investigator the NIH Rare Disease Clinical Research Network site dedicated to myasthenia gravis, MGNet.
