Biography

Thomas O. Carpenter, MD, is Professor of Pediatrics and Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at the Yale School of Medicine. He has been at Yale for over 30 years and has been very active in the Yale Bone Program throughout this time, including direction of Yale’s Pediatric Metabolic Bone Disease clinic and Director of the Yale Center for X-Linked Hypophosphatemia (XLH). Dr. Carpenter is currently Associate Editor of the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research and has authored over 150 articles, reviews, and book chapters related to metabolic bone disease in children.
