Katja Hanack is Professor of Immunotechnology at the University of Potsdam, Germany and President & CEO of her own Biotech company new/era/mabs. She is an expert in antibody discovery and engineering and co-inventor of a proprietary selection technology for a high throughput sorting of antibody-secreting cells. Her field of expertise... read morecovers the topics of adaptive and innate immune responses in vivo and the in vitro generation and characterization of antibodies from different species such as mouse, human or camelid antibodies. She is author of more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and co-inventor of 5 patents. With her 15+ years of experience she supports the translation of scientific results into patient-oriented applications as consultant of the Stanford´s SPARK program. She received her Ph.D in 2006 and her MBA in 2012 from the University of Potsdam. In 2019 she was appointed as Visiting professor in the Department of Chemical and Systems Biology, Stanford Medical School.
