Biography

Jason Morrow was the Chief of the Division of Clinical Pharmacology and the F. Tremaine Billings Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. Dr. Morrow received his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his undergraduate training at Vanderbilt University.... read moreHis research focused on the role of oxidative stress and inflammation in human physiology and pathophysiology. He and his colleagues discovered the isoprostanes, a group of arachidonate-derived lipid mediators that are currently recognized as the gold standard to assess oxidative injury in vivo. Dr. Morrow authored over 200 papers, and is remembered as a talented researcher, inspiring leader and valued colleague. Dr. Morrow, 51, died on July 8, 2008. He is survived by his wife and their children, and extended family.
