Jessica Rosenholm is Professor in Pharmaceutical Development at the Pharmaceutical Sciences Laboratory, Åbo Akademi University, Finland, and PI of the BioNanoMaterials research group. Her research concerns: the development of nanoformulations for a broad range of cargo (e.g. hydrophobic and hydrophilic drugs, biomolecules, imaging agents and sensor dyes); synthesis of composite... read morenanostructures for multifunctionality (e.g. design of nanoantibiotics); and evaluation of the potential and applicability of the developed nanomedical agents for in vitro and in vivo drug delivery and biomedical imaging. Currently the group is further involved in formulating the already developed nanosystems into different dosage forms including dermal patches, antibacterial coatings, and varying 2D/3D printed formulations (e.g. for tissue engineering).
