Babak Choodari-Oskooei is a senior statistician at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL, part of the Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology, with a particular interest in adaptive and multi-arm multi-stage (MAMS) platform randomised clinical trials. He is also interested in developing clinical trials methodology and the associated software... read morepackages to apply in real trial designs. He has taken a lead role in the design of several international adaptive trials, and advises WHO on such trials in postpartum mortality. He has been a member of the UK-wide adaptive design working group (ADWG), and an independent statistician on data monitoring and trial steering committees for several trials. He teaches on clinical trial courses, both on design and analysis, at the postgraduate level, and supervises PhD students in clinical trials methodology. He is also an associate editor of Clinical Trials and Trials journals.
