Dr. Darren Prokop is a Professor of Logistics in the College of Business and Public Policy at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Manitoba in 1999. Dr. Prokop specializes in transportation economics and its effects on international trade and transportation security. He has published seminal research in the leading academic journals and has contributed chapters to many books in his field. His own books include: The Business of Transportation (Praeger), Concepts of Transportation Economics (World Scientific), and Global Supply Chain Security and Management (Elsevier).
Dr. Prokop is an active consultant to both government and business. An expert on cabotage regulations, Dr. Prokop’s opinions in this area are actively sought by international shippers and carriers.
