Biography

Dr. Vsevolod “Seva” Katritch is a computational structural biologist focused on deciphering the molecular function of membrane proteins, specifically the superfamily of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). He is also one of the pioneers in the structure-based discovery of ligands and in vivo probes for GPCRs, as well as in computer-assisted... read moredesign of thermostabilized GPCR constructs.

Dr. Katritch received his Ph.D. from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, followed by postdoctoral training at Rutgers University and The Scripps Research Institute. Before joining USC in 2015, he served as a director at SIGA Technologies and held research faculty positions at the University of California, San Diego and The Scripps Research Institute. His work has led to five patents and more than 110 publications, including ligand-discovery studies and high-impact reviews on GPCR structure and function. He is named among Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researchers in pharmacology/toxicology, and biology/biochemistry categories.
