Professor Goldstein received his PhD in biological sciences from Stanford University in 1994, and since 1999 has been the Chair of Genetics at University College London. He is the author of more than 50 scholarly publications in the areas of population and medical genetics. David's principal current interests include human... read moregenetic diversity, the genetics of neurological disease and pharmacogenetics. He is on the editorial boards of "Current Biology", "Annals of Human Genetics", "Molecular Biology and Evolution" and "Human Genomics", and was recently awarded the prestigious Royal Society / Wolfson Research Merit Award for his work on human genetic diversity.
