Biography

Monique Valcour is Professor of Management at EDHEC Business School. Born and educated in the U.S., she holds degrees from Cornell University (PhD and MS in organizational behavior), Harvard University (M.Ed. in administration, planning and social policy) and Brown University (BA in French language and theater arts). She was previously... read moreon the faculty of the Carroll School of Management at Boston College from 2003-2009. At EDHEC since September 2009, Prof. Valcour teaches MBA, executive MBA and MSc courses on career management, intercultural management, leadership, and HR and performance management. Her research program focuses on the integration of work and non-work roles, career success, and human resource management. Her research has been published in several leading management journals. Prof. Valcour is a founding member of the executive committee of the Work-Family Researchers Network. She is also a member of the executive committee of the Careers Division of the Academy of Management, serving as its Professional Development Workshop Chair in 2013.
