Dr. Tony Ip received his BS from the National Defense Medical Center, Taipei, ROC in 1984 and his PhD from the University of Iowa in 1989. He is currently a Professor of Molecular Medicine at UMMS. His research interest is the mechanism of stem cell-mediated regeneration in adult tissues, using the genetic model organism Drosophila to identify conserved regulatory networks that control regeneration in the adult intestine.
