Bradley J. Till is head of the Genomics Unit at the Centro de Genómica Nutriconal Agroacuícola in Temuco Chile. Prior to this, he led a research team and managed international plant breeding projects at the FAO/IAEA Joint Programme in Vienna, Austria. He received his PhD from the University of Oregon... read morein 2000. During his postdoc at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, he joined a team which developed and implemented the reverse genetic method known as TILLING. The use of technologies for mutation discovery to facilitate functional genomics and plant breeding has been a common theme in his research career. He has worked on a wide range of plant species including cereals, legumes, and vegetatively propagated crops. Dr. Till is also focused on the adaptation of technologies and approaches suitable for developing countries, with the goal of supporting sustainable food security.
