Biography

Lynn R. Kahle is the Ehrman Giustina Professor and Marketing Department Head at the University of Oregon, where he was Founding Director of the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center. He has served as President of the Society for Consumer Psychology and is Chair of the Consumer Behavior Special Interest Group in... read morethe American Marketing Association. He was previously Editor of Sport Marketing Quarterly. He is a Fellow in the Society for Consumer Psychology as well as the American Psychological Association and American Psychological Society. He is an Executive Member of the American Marketing Association. Prof. Kahle is one of the top 50 most-cited marketing professors, best known for his work on social values and consumption. His other research topics include international marketing, lifestyles and psychographics, sports marketing, attitudes, and communication. His research has been published in such journals as the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Child Development, Public Opinion Quarterly, and the Journal of Marketing. His previous books include Social Values and Social Change: Adaption to Life in America, Creating Images and the Psychology of Marketing Communication, Sports Marketing and the Psychology of Marketing Communications, and Values, Lifestyles, and Psychographics. His most recent book is Marketplace Lifestyles in an Age of Social Media (with Pierre Valette-Florence).
