Jeffrey D. Rothstein, M.D., Ph.D. is the John W. Griffin Director for the Brain Science Institute, Professor of Neurology and Neuroscience and Deputy Director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Clinical Translation. He is a faculty member of the Graduate Program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at Johns Hopkins University.... read moreHe is also the Founder and Director of the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, the largest academic organization dedicated towards understanding ALS and developing novel therapeutics. The Brain Science Institute (BSi) is organized to bridge basic to clinical neuroscience and coordinates over 450 Johns Hopkins Neuroscientists into unique collaborative programs addressing a wide range of basic and clinical neuroscience. The BSi Neurotranslation Program is staffed to develop new small molecule pharmaceuticals for brain and spinal cord diseases. He is also the Director of the MDA/ALS Clinic, one of the largest ALS clinics in the USA.
