Biography

After studying Biological Sciences at Leicester University for her first degree, Susan worked in allergy research at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London for 11 years. In 1987, Susan moved from academia to the pharmaceutical industry, working initially with a small contract research company, establishing her own clinical research consultancy in 1993, which merged with QED Clinical Services Ltd in 2009. She has experienced in many areas of clinical research (including monitoring, study management, QA and scientific writing (preparation of clinical trial reports and manuscripts for publication), and GCP training. Susan has experience of clinical research in over 20 countries throughout Europe and in the USA and Canada. Susan is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research (for which she served as Chair from 2007 to 2009), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a Chartered Scientist and a Member of the British Association for Research Quality Assurance.
